In 2003, he was presented with a unique opportunity when he was asked to become a risk manager for Arcelor, a global steel company. Although he had no previous experience, he accepted the challenge and learned risk management from the ground up. His journey continued through mergers and corporate positions, which shaped his passion for this field.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>St\u00e9phane noticed a gap in the Swiss risk management community &#8211; professionals lacked a platform for meaningful exchange. Before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.risk-in.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Risk-!n<\/a>, he founded the Swiss Risk Management Forum, an informal peer group. But in 2018, after a tearful conversation with a friend, Risk-!n was born. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-anchor-fm-inc wp-block-embed-anchor-fm-inc wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"Thebrokernews Podcast 4: Building Bridges in Risk Management by thebrokernews Podcast\" src=\"https:\/\/anchor.fm\/binci\/embed\/episodes\/Thebrokernews-Podcast-4-Building-Bridges-in-Risk-Management-e30tvik#?secret=6axWUn0jQa\" data-secret=\"6axWUn0jQa\" height=\"102px\" width=\"400px\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p>The conference started small (130 participants), but has since grown to over 300 participants and has become the most important risk management event in Switzerland.
